Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 11/26/10

Arctic like temperatures made turkey thawing quite difficult this past holiday 
week. Some areas in the southern part of the state saw light snow, as well as 
many neighboring states. Heavy rains also fell prior to the snow which put some 
much needed water in ponds in the driest areas of the state. Hay interest has 
picked up some with the colder weather and as more producers start to feed. 
State wide hay supply is moderate, currently demand is light, and hay prices 
are steady. Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available
