Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 11/17/10

   Compared to last Wednesday, the bulk of slaughter cows sold steady to
1.00 higher with instances 2.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00
higher. The offering included several dispersals which provided a heavy
supply of quality bred cows as well as a few good quality cow/calf pairs.
Supply was heavy and demand moderate to good for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd
and 3rd stage 965-1365 lbs most 710.00-900.00, some better quality from
dispersals 925.00-975.00, 1st stage 1085-1275 lbs 650.00-775.00; short and
solid mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1095-1295 lbs 550.00-650.00. Large
1-2  6-7 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage couple 1450-1500 lbs 825.00-875.00. Medium
and Large 2  3-6 yrs 2nd stage 1075-1125 lbs 550.00-650.00. Medium 1-2
