Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 11/03/10

Receipts:  1070   Last Week:  1372   Last Year:  1300

   Compared to last Wednesday, breaking and boning slaughter cows sold
2.00-3.00 lower while lean cows and slaughter bulls sold 1.00 lower.
Slaughter buyers indicate meat is not moving as fast and that there are
plenty of cows available to meet their needs so prices moved lower. The
supply of pairs and bred cows was light to moderate. Supply was moderate
and demand light to moderate for slaughter classes.
