Margaret Trombold Horn passed away on Oct. 23, 2010, in her home with family in Springfield, MO. Margaret was born to George and Margaret Trombold, on November 23, 1916, in Chanute, KS.
Preceding her in death were her brothers: Robert Trombold, George Trombold, Walter Trombold, and Willard Trombold. She married Albert H. Horn on Sept. 18, 1940 in Tulsa, OK.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Albert, of Springfield; her children: Jack Horn, of Hideaway, Texas; Hank Horn, (Lucy), of Portland, OR and Marga Pogue (Dick), of Springfield, MO. She was grandmother to Douglas Horn, Michael Horn, Angie Courtney, Krista Cornejo, Christy Marran, and Keith Marran. Margaret is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Trombold, of Wichita, KS.
Margaret graduated from Iola, KS High School and Kansas University. She worked for many years as a medical technologist in Tulsa, OK, Monett, MO, and Springfield, MO. She was a long-time member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, of Springfield. Margaret was truly an example of wisdom and devotion to family and friends.
