Cox sets date for flu clinic

Friday, October 15, 2010

Area residents will have another opportunity to get their seasonal flu shot when Cox Monett Hospital hosts its annual Drive-Thru to Fight the Flu clinic on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Flu vaccinations will be administered in the south parking lot of the Monett Physician's Building from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Area residents will roll up their sleeves, roll down their windows and receive the flu vaccination without having to leave their vehicle. Those who plan to participate in the drive-through clinic are asked to enter the parking lot from Lincoln Street.

In addition to the clinic on Oct. 30, a walk-in community flu shot clinic is planned for Friday, Nov. 5 from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the main lobby of Cox Monett Hospital. No appointments are necessary for either clinic.

The cost of the flu shot is $20 person. Medicare Part B will be accepted for payment at both clinics. According to hospital officials, these are the only two dates that flu shots will be given at the hospital.

For more information about the upcoming clinics, call 417-354-1COX.
