|Paula Robinson-Appel, age 65, of Shell Knob, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at her home.||She was born on June 1, 1945, in Galena, Missouri, the daughter of Wayne and Lexie (Carr) Stephens. Paula was a 1963 graduate of Galena High School and graduated from Trinity Lutheran Nursing School in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked as a registered nurse for St. John's Hospital in the Neonatal Unit.||Paula was a member of the Kingsway Christian Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Mt. Vernon. On October 9, 1965, she married Boyd "Gene" Robinson in Cape Fair, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1999. On October 14, 2004 Paula married Jack Appel in Mt. Vernon and he survives her of the home.|
Additional survivors include; three sons, Steven (Marca) Robinson, of Kansas City, Missouri, Scott Robinson of Mt. Vernon, Shane (Jamie) Robinson, of Evansmill, New York; two granddaughters, Abbey and Amber Robinson of Kansas City, Missouri; stepdaughter, Tracey (Mike) Kenny of Linden, Virginia; two stepsons, Ralph (Brenda) Appel of Aiken, South Carolina and Jeffery (Sherry) Appel, of McGayesville, Virginia; step granddaughter, Sara Kenney of Linden, Virginia; two step grandsons, Justin and Jonathon Appel of Aiken, South Carolina; two sisters, Lynda Tilden of Marionville and Dixie Sierk of Clever; one brother Joe Stephens of Galena; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents also preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri with burial in the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
