Mrs. Phyllis Lee (Day) Ginnery, 71, of Purdy, Mo., passed away Sept. 25, 2010 at Cox Monett Hospital. She was born on January 15, 1939 in Huntington, West Virginia to Clinton and Pansy (Berry) Spears. She was united in marriage to Carlos Day. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1981.
Phyllis was a homemaker and attended Freedom Worship Center of Purdy.
Mrs. Ginnery is survived by two sons: Gary Day, of Purdy and Greg Day, of Cassville; one daughter: Teresa Tindle, of Purdy; one brother: Jim Spears, of Morristown, Tenn.; one sister: C. Sue Campbell, of Green Bay, Va.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and very close friend Chuck Wormington.
Mrs. Ginnery was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Mo. Burial will take place in Woodnere Cemetery in Huntington, W.V.
