Deane Stark, age 82, of Monett, Mo., passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at Cox-Monett Hospital. Deane was born in Monett on Dec. 3, 1927, the daughter of the late S.A. and Lena (Lillas) Henson.
She was a graduate of Monett High School with the class of 1947. Deane had worked for the telephone company in Monett and Consumer's Bakery in Monett and Aurora. Deane was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett were she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Petal Pushers Garden Club, the Bridge Club and loved collecting antiques and working in her flower gardens.
On Oct. 4, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, Deane Henson was united in marriage to Carl Stark. Carl and Deane were blessed with one son, David. The Lord brought David into their lives when he was a week old. Deane is survived by her husband Carl, of the home; one brother: Bill Henson and wife, Virginia, of Pierce City, Mo.; one sister: Shirley Thomas, of Sarasota, Fla.; and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Stark; one brother, Charles Henson; and one sister, Gladys Ling.
|Funeral services for Mrs. Stark will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Cox and Reverend M.E. Fitzpatrick officiating.||Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. prior to the service on Monday. Memorial contributions have been requested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.||Arrangements are under the personal care of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Mo.|
