The Purdy baseball team defeated Wheaton 2-0 Wednesday night at Billings in the semi-finals of the Crane Wood Bat Tournament.
Kevin Miller got the win. He pitched seven innings, allowed four hits and struck out seven.
Wheaton's Kyle Robbins pitched seven innings allowed one earned run, struck out nine, and gave up five hits and walked two.
The Eagles managed to get one run in the first and one in the second to edge the Bulldogs.
"Miller pitched the game of his life," Purdy Head Coach Josh Hughes said. "I could not have asked for anything more from him."
Purdy hosts the Purdy Fall Classic beginning tonight.
The Eagles play Hurley at 4 p.m.
The championship game for Crane's tournament has not been scheduled.
