Purdy softball and baseball both win

The Purdy Lady Eagles defeated Southwest 7-3 last Friday night.

Purdy yielded three runs in the bottom of the first before putting on the defensive clamps.

The Lady Eagles exploded with five runs in the top of the second and added two more in the third.

Brooke Swadley went two for three with a double and two RBIs. Taylor Moller was one for three with a double, two runs scored and one RBI.

Carleigh Hall got the win. She pitched seven innings, allowed four hits and struck out 11.

The Lady Eagles travel Thursday night to Diamond.

Baseball action

The Purdy baseball team routed Spokane 18-0 on Monday.

Cameron Terry got the win, striking out eight batters.

Devon Bennett went three for four with four RBIs. Cody Hall added a two-run homer.

Purdy's next game is tonight against Wheaton at Billings in the semi-finals of the Crane Tournament.
