Mr. Kenneth H. Gilreath, 78, of Monett, passed away at his home on Monday September 6, 2010. He was born October 15, 1931 in Lebanon, Oregon to William and Nora Addie (Guinn) Gilreath.
He was united in marriage to Erma Lea Smith in Mannford, Oklahoma April 19, 1952.
Kenneth was a tool designer in the aircraft industry. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monett.
Mr. Gilreath is survived by his wife along with two sons: Kenneth Gilreath Jr. of Wichita, Kan. and Chris Leon Gilreath of Mt. Vernon, Mo; one daughter: Vanessa Lea Johnson of Pierce City, Mo; one brother: Gordon Crawford Gilreath of Holt, Michigan; one sister: Verna Mae Hoffman Higgenbothem of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Hobert Gilreath Jr.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Services will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday September 9, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Monett with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Burial will follow at Pierce City Cemetery.
