The Purdy Eagles baseball team (4-0) handled Golden City 6-2 Tuesday night.
The Eagles' Landon Terry pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out 10.
Riley Veith came up big on offense, belting a two-run home run.
In Monday's action, the Eagles defeated Galena 16-6.
The Eagles jumped out to a 5-0 lead but gave up six runs in the third to trail 6-5.
It was then that the Eagles' offense woke up. Kevin Miller went three for three with two doubles and two RBIs, Cameron Terry went three for four and had two doubles.
Miller was the winning pitcher, striking out seven while only walking one.
Last Friday night, the Eagles defeated Exeter 7-5 despite giving up four runs in the bottom of the first.
"We slowly chipped away at their (Exeter's) lead," Purdy Head Coach Joshua Hughes said. "We needed a break."
Exeter would give them the needed break. In the top of the seventh inning, Exeter commited two errors, allowing the Eagles to plate the two go-ahead runs.
The undefeated Eagles will be back in action Thursday as they travel to Wheaton, who is also undefeated with a 3-0 record.
