She was preceded in death by her son: Kenneth Ferrell; her sister: Lorna Bellm; and her parents: Fred and Freida Roesslet.
She is survived by one daughter: Darlene Appelquist and her husband, James, of Battlefield, MO; daughter-in-law: Diana Ferrell Lawrence, of Aurora, MO; five granddaughters: Stephanie Richter and husband, Doyle, of Battlefield, MO; Robin Pinkly and husband, Wayne, of Verona, MO; Gail Whiting and husband, Sid, of Springfield, MO; Airel Shrum and husband, Jeremy, of Verona, MO and Katrina Appelquist, of Springfield, MO; 12 great-grandchildren: Taylor, Tori and Kolton Pinkly; Ashley, Andrew and Katelyn Richter; Madison, Dillin and Westin Shrum; Aaron, Jonathan and Faith Whitting; a nephew: Billy Bellm and a host of family, cousins and many friends.
Nora was well known as the driver of her '57 black Chevy, the maker of delicious peanut brittle, yummy coffee cakes, and was an all-around great cook and baker. Nora worked over 20 years at the Aurora Shoe Factory and spent many years after retirement waitressing at Jerry's Diner in Aurora, greeting people at Peterson Funeral Home and babysitting for family and neighbors.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 in the Grace Lutheran Church in Aurora, under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Spring River Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27 in the funeral home.
