The offices are located on the edge of several residential subdivisions. Landscaped with a wide lawn and a lake, the JHA offices are set in a campus similar to the Monett headquarters. The effect has been a business setting that fits into the neighborhood.
"I've been very pleased with the entire project, from the design phase to construction to move-in," said Scott Whisman, JHA corporate service general manager. "I wanted the Springfield campus to feel like an extension of our Monett headquarters, so the building and landscape designs followed an adherence to our traditional JHA 'look and feel,' originally established by our founders Jack Henry & Jerry Hall."
The two buildings are capable of holding more than 650 people altogether. Whisman said once all of the Springfield employees relocate onto the campus, approximately 450 people would occupy the buildings.
"The timing of the move-in was closely coordinated with our lease terminations, avoiding the hold-over charges sometimes associated with projects of this type," Whisman said. "The largest amount of contiguous square footage occupied was located at 2143 S. Primrose with the landlord services provided by owner Jon Risdal, of Risdal Enterprises L.P. Jon has been an exceptional vendor to Jack Henry and Associates, and we've been extremely pleased with the service he and his staff have afforded us."
JHA had been leasing four spaces in four different locations in Springfield. In addition, around half of the 200 JHA employees commuting to Monett from Springfield and surrounding communities will be relocating to the new offices.
"The Springfield office houses employees who represent an array of products and services," said Whisman. "Installation groups, customer service representatives, development staff, sales personnel, human resources reps and corporate infrastructure teams all work from this location."
The new campus is not expected to have any direct impact on JHA's hiring needs.
"We've had offices in Springfield for several years," Whisman said. "While this new campus has increased the community's general awareness of our company, these buildings themselves won't likely impact our existing ability to attract or retain qualified employees."
JHA currently has 1,185 employees working out of the Monett office. The majority of those working in Monett live in or around Monett.
"Over the past couple of years," Whisman said, "the higher gasoline prices have prompted many of those commuters to work from Springfield a few days per week. With the buildings now finished, some will be allowed to work from that office full-time."
Construction on the 38.5- acre site took approximately one year. The campus has significant parking areas. Ground work for a third building has been completed. No plans for additional construction have been made.
