Mrs. Shirley Janice Hoffman, age 70, of Purdy, passed away at Benchmark Healthcare of Monett on Wednesday Aug. 18, 2010. She was born on January 14, 1940 in Purdy to Floyd and Chlora (Burg) Hemphill. She was united in marriage to Stanley Hoffman on October 30, 1964 in Purdy, MO.
Shirley was a homemaker and member of the Arnhart Baptist Church of Purdy.
Mrs. Hoffman is survived by her husband, along with two sons: Jonathan Hoffman, of Purdy, and Joe and his wife, Lisa Hoffman, of Purdy; two daughters: Jana and her husband, Robert Bible, of Stotts City, and Joanna and her husband, Tim Rueda, of Lowell Ark.; one brother: Charles Hemphill of Harrison, Ark.; one sister: Bonnie Long, of Springdale, Ark. and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, along with one son: James Hoffman; four brothers: Bill, Ted, Joe and Bob Hemphill and one sister: Betty Hemphill.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 and services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 21, 2010. Burial will follow at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, MO.
