Mrs. Faye F. Harrel, age 92, of Claremore, Okla., formerly of Purdy, MO, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Wood Manor in Claremore, Okla. She was born on May 24, 1918 at home near Purdy, MO to Paul and Stella Trent DeCocq.
She was the fourth born of four girls and one boy. She also had three step-brothers and one step-sister. She was preceded in death by all her siblings. Her parents were farmers and horse traders.
She was united in marriage to Willie R. Herrel on January 2, 1942 in Cassville, MO. From this marriage were born two girls and one spoiled-rotten boy.
Faye is survived by her two daughters: Barbara and husband, Ralph Moonen, of Claremore, Okla. and Frances and husband, Bob Arndt, of Republic, MO; one son: Bill Herrel, of Tulsa, Okla. The loves of her life were her grandchildren: Pam and Brenda Ardnt and Jody and Jason Herrel; great-grandchildren: Jake Harrel, Daniel Cline, Matt Matos, Teagan and Megan Moonen.
Faye was a housewife and worked for Tyson Foods in Monett, MO for 21 years. She loved her garden and flowers. While she was able, she brought flowers to all her friends.
|Visitation will be held at Blue Starr Church of Christ with Pastor Mike Schroeder officiating in Claremore, Okla. from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, and services will begin at 10 a.m.||Graveside services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield, MO at 3 p.m with Steve Spilman officiating.|
