Pauline Jones, 89, of Springfield, MO, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. She was born on Thursday, Aug. 10, 1920 to Fred and Mary Wilkinson.
Pauline was a long-time member of Broadway Methodist Church. She retired from Kickapoo High School food service. She was a fan of the MSU Lady Bears and the Cardinals. Pauline was also a member of the Studebaker Car Club and Grandmothers Club. Her biggest joys in life were her family and her church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Jones, her parents of Monett, sisters Veva Jenkins, Peggy Whorton and a brother Bill Wilkinson.
Pauline is survived by her sisters: Betty Vigneaux, of Springfield, and Virginia Johnson, of Pennsylvania; four daughters: Carol Whitehead and husband, Earl; Paula Presley and husband, Carl; Tammy Stinson and husband, Jack; and Tracy Matysiak and husband, Mark; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends. Pauline will be greatly missed by many. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Meldi, Dr. Holden and their staff for their wonderful care.
A celebration of life, in lieu of her 90th birthday, will now be held on Saturday July 31st following her funeral at the home of Tammy Stinson, Nixa, MO.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
