Two injured in traffic incidents

A weekend vehicle-pedestrian collision has left a Cassville man injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 9:22 p.m., July 24, on Old Exeter Road at the Rainbow Drive-In at Cassville. The pedestrian, James O. Holder, 66, was crossing the roadway at a hillcrest when the 1997 Audi, driven westbound by Caitlyn M. George, 18, of Cassville, struck Holder as the vehicle came over the hill.

Holder was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with moderate injuries. George was not injured.

Other Crashes

* A single-vehicle wreck took place at 3:07 p.m., July 24, when the 1993 Cadillac, driven westbound by Anne M. Mayes, 26, Pierce City, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The crash took place at County Road 2220 approximately one mile north of Pierce City.

Mayes was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with moderate injuries. Mayes was not waering a seatbelt.
