Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 7/21/10

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Receipts: 426 Last Week: 924 Last Year: 758

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold 1.00 lower. The offering of both bred cows and cow/
calf pairs was very light. Excessive heat has made it difficult to work
livestock except in the early morning or late evening hours and curtailed
receipts today. Supply was light and demand moderate for slaughter classes.
