Senator's home robbed; reward is being offered

A reward is being offered for information about a recent burglary at the Cassville home of Senator Emory Melton.

According to Jay Jastal, with the Barry/Lawrence Crime Stoppers, the burglary occurred on June 13. Items stolen from the Melton home ncluded 400 state quarters, several pairs of cuff links, a pocket watch and personalized envelopes.

Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and filing of charges in felony crimes.

Anyone with information about the Melton burglary is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 354-TIPS or 1-888-635-TIPS. Information can also be submitted to local law enforcement agencies.

All calls are kept anonymous and no one is required to give their names to submit information or obtain a reward.
