Springfield-Springfield Livestock Marketing Center: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 6/28/2010

Receipts:  373   Last Week:  410   Last Year:  418

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher and
slaughter bull sold 1.00-2.00 lower. The offering of both bred cows and
cow/calf pairs was very light. The area received some relief from the
heat as a front moved through late yesterday and produced rain for most
individuals. Supply was light and demand good for slaughter classes.
NOTE: There will be a cow and bull auction here next Monday July 5th.

2nd stage 1085-1155 lbs 585.00-600.00. Large 1-2  7 yr 3rd stage 1600 lb
