HeirWave Internet Radio will bring a large gospel music concert to Monett for the second year on Saturday, July 3. The concert will be held at the First United Methodist Church, across from Monett's North Park.
Six gospel music acts will perform, beginning at 2 p.m. Admission to the concert will be free with the donation of a non-perishable food item for the Crosslines food pantry.
"Once again, we have built an exciting family oriented program that we hope will entertain, inspire, and bless folks in the community," said organizer Daniel Graves. "This year we are bringing together 6 great southern gospel and bluegrass ministries who share the gospel in various parts of the country."
HeirWave brought a daylong program to Joe Levanti's Horseshoe Theater last July.
Performers will include Appointed by Grace, a gospel quartet from Cleveland, Texas; the female trio Heirs of Grace for Tallahassee, Fla.; the Hallmark Quartet from Ironton, Ohio; Charles Ross from Gleason, Tenn.; Brenda Kirkland from Perry, Fla.; and the five-member Triple L Band from Portables, N.M., Singing News' New Artist of the Year award winner.
A love offering will be taken to help the ministries with their expenses.
"We are looking forward to returning to Monett this year and are already making plans for next year's event," Graves added.
