The Jolly Mill Foundation has announced plans to host its first Summer Old-Fashioned Arts and Crafts Festival. The event is slated from 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 17 at Jolly Mill Park, located 10 miles southwest of Monett.
The Mark Chapman Band will headline the live entertainment. Four bands have been booked to date for the occasion.
Organizers will hold a hog roast on the park grounds. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available as well.
According to a foundation spokesperson, the emphasis of the festival will be on old-fashioned crafts such as wood carving and black power shooting. The mill will be in operation, grinding corn.
Vendors, especially those selling produce, are welcome. For more details, call Nadine Bowman at 417-476-5440.
Organizers hope to make the festival an annual event.
