Racing activity was busy last Sunday at the Monett Speedway.
In the rookie feature. Clayton Powell, who came in second the previous week, roared to victory over last week's winner, Cole Wells. Powell had come in second to wells in the preliminary heat. Finishing out the top five slots were Lenny Coats, Frank James and Jesse James.
In the bomber division, John Coats repeated his victory last week to again take both the heat and the feature races. Rounding out the top five in the feature were Justin Wilson, Willie Oxendine, Shawn Price and Cason Starbuck.
In the Pro-4's division, Theresa Widener reversed her last place finish in a heat last week to take second in her heat and first in the feature. Bob Widener, who won the feature last week, took second, while Don Lacey finished third for the second week in a row. Finishing the top five were Randy Roberts and Darrin Widener.
In the B-Modifieds division, J.C. Morton took last in his heat but first in the feature, besting his seventh place finish last week. Eric Tenderholt improved from eighth place last week to second place on Sunday. Jerry Lankton, Billy Dalton and Matt Thompson took third, fourth and fifth respectively.
In the A-Modifieds feature race, Jesse Stovall improved last week's fourth place finish to win on Sunday over last week's winner, Johnny Bone Jr. Erik Maggard won third place for the second week in a row. Shawn Nations and Mitch Keeter filled out the top five.
In the late models, Ken Essary took first place in the feature and second his heat. Shane Essary was last in his heat and second in the feature. Finishing out the top five were Justin Wells, Larry Jones and Dustin Mooneyham.
