   Compared to last Monday, the bulk of slaughter cows and slaughter bulls
sold 1.00-2.00 lower with some early sales 3.00 lower. The majority of the
offering went for slaughter and included a significant number of cull dairy
cows. The supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs was very light. The over-
all quality of the offering was below the average of the past several sales.
Supply and demand were moderate for slaughter classes.

Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  6 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd
and 3rd stage 1100-1330 lbs 650.00-875.00; broken mouth to aged 2nd and
3rd stage 1145-1225 lbs 525.00-630.00. Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid
mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 1330-1375 lbs 730.00-850.00. Medium and Large 2
short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage couple 970-1095 lbs 525.00-575.00,
1st stage 2 yr 900 lb indiv. 495.00. Medium 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth
950-1300 lb cows w/babies to 375 lb calves and several rebred 910.00-
1185.00; broken mouth to aged pkg. 1075 lb cow w/375 lb calves and all
rebred 1025.00. Large 1-2  6 yr 1475 lb cow w/200 lb calf 1135.00. Medium
and Large 2  4 yr 860 lb cow w/300 lb calf 860.00. Medium 1-2  broken mouth
pkg. 1005 lb cows w/400 lb calves and all rebred 935.00, and a 975 lb cow
w/180 lb calf 710.00.
