Donna Wyone Wimsatt, age 69, of Monett, MO. passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Donna was born on November 5, 1940, in Mayseville, Ark., the daughter of William Lois and Helen Aldena Snoddy Haddock. She graduated from Mt.Vernon High School in 1958. Donna worked for Cox Monett Hospital as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She had a great love for her family and for life. Donna had a great passion for music. She loved playing the guitar, and shared her talents with others. Donna taught music at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield where she sang in the choir and was a member of the singing group "Angel Voices."
Another joy for Donna was spending time at the lake with family and friends. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
On July 1, 1963 in Monett, Donna Haddock and Paul Eugene Wimsatt were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on June 04, 1983. Donna is survived by two sons: Paul Wimsatt and wife, Janet, of Monett; Pat Wimsatt, of Monett; four daughters: Paula Haverly and husband, Kevin, of Monett; Deana Marker and husband, Joe, of Sneadsferry, NC; Roberta Blair, of Purdy; and Becky Harris, of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers: Larry Haddock and wife, Jean, of Cassville; and Chuck Haddock and wife, Barbara, of Magee, Ark.; one sister: Carol Williams, of Republic, MO.; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family as well as many "granddogs."
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Billie Ruth Haddock. Donna will be deeply and sorely missed by all that knew her.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, MO. Father Daniel Robles will officiate. Interment will be held in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monett.
The family will receive friends at the St. Mary's Catholic Church on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. with Rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m. Contributions have been requested to the St. Mary's Catholic Church Music Department in care of the funeral home.
