Missouri Weekly Hay Summary - Week ending 04/28/2010

Farmers made it back in to the fields this week and burned through many gallons 
of diesel fuel and sunscreen. In most of the southern part of the state haying 
was in full swing as progress as of earlier this week sat about a week behind 
normal. Most farmers in the northern half of the state spent most of the week 
planting beans or replanting corn as haying nearly always takes a back seat to 
getting the grain crops in the field. The supply of hay is light, demand 
moderate, and prices steady. Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay
