Julie Linn Moody, age 46, of Purdy, Mo. passed away on Thursday, May 13, at her home in Purdy following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Julie was born on March 29, 1964 in St. Louis, Mo. the daughter of Joe Holland and Marlene (Perrine) Karichner.
Julie graduated from Purdy High School and went on to further her education at Crowder College. She had worked in Home Health Care, was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Purdy and enjoyed crocheting for her family.
On May 21, 1983 in Monett, Julie Holland and Bob Moody were united in marriage and to this union two children were born.
Julie is survived by her husband, Bob; one son: Robby Moody; and one daughter: Crystle Moody, all of the home; her mother: Marlene Karichner, of Monett; two brothers: Mark Holland and wife, Connie, of Cassville; and Mike Holland and wife, Julia, of Rogers, Ark; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father: Joe Holland; maternal grandparents: Luke and Gladys Perrine; and paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Grace Holland.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, at the Bethel Cemetery, located south of Monett, with Rev. Russ Neill officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 14, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compassus. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
