Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 5/12/10

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady 1.00 lower and 
slaughter bulls sold steady. The offering included several dispersals
providing a good supply of above average quality bred cows and cow/calf
pairs that received a lot of buyer interest. Strong slaughter prices continue 
to encourage producers to bring their cull cows to market. Supply
was heavy and demand good for slaughter classes.
