Pair of doctors join Cox staff

Cox Monett Hospital officials have announced the addition of two physicians to the local hospital's medical staff.

Dr. Robert Halterman has joined CoxHealth Gynecology Clinic of Monett, and Dr. Curtis Frazier is now seeing patients at the Cox Monett Emergency Room.

Dr. Halterman attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology as chief resident at Ohio University, Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Halterman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has special interest in infertility issues and advanced laparoscopic pelvic surgery. He is credited with performing the first total true laparoscopic hysterectomy in Kentucky, which is considered an exceptionally advanced surgery.

Dr. Frazier earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency in emergency medicine at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, La., where he was the chief resident.

Before coming to Monett, Dr. Frazier was a member of the ER staff at St. John's Hospital-Lebanon and worked at Citizen's Memorial Healthcare in Bolivar.

Dr. Frazier resides in the area with his family. He enjoys cybling, reading and building homes.
