Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 4/14/10

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 higher with in-
stances 3.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher. Strong
slaughter prices have encouraged many producers to bring their older, less
productive and open cows to market this week. Several herd dispersals were
also included in the offering providing a good supply of bred cows and cow/
calf pairs. Supply was heavy and demand very good for slaughter classes.
