Bo Bibb Swearingen rode into the gates of heaven with his loving wife, Lori Swearingen, by his side on Saturday, April 3 when they were killed in a tragic accident near Winslow, Ark.
Bo was born on June 11, 1977 in Fayetteville, Ark. and lived in Springdale, Ark. with his parents, David and Jannie Bibb until he joined the United States Army in May of 1995. Bo served proudly in the Operation Iraq Freedom. Bo achieved the rank of Sgt. First Class and was awarded the Audey Murphy medal, a bronze star and numerous medals and awards throughout his military career.
Bo is survived by his parents, David and Jannie Bibb of Springdale, Ark.; his daughters: Carli and Taylor Mareth, of Rogers, Ark.; his godmother: Cheryl Tyson; his sister: Jill Jackson and her husband, Jeremy; nephews: Ian Colby and Carter Dean; his best friend and Army brother: Tony Franke; grandparents: Jerry and DeMona Reeves; Hale and Theo Bibb; biological father: Jim Swearingen and wife, Janice of Springdale, Ark.; sisters: Martha Anne and Alicia Swearingen, of Springdale, Ark., Heather Swearingen, of Las Vegas, Nev., Amanda Springston, of Fayetteville, Ark., and numerous other relatives and a host of lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 8 at the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, Ark. with Daniel Dickard officiating. Committal service will be at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
