Ida Jackson, age 93, of Monett, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, at Lacoba Homes in Monett.
Ida was born on August 17, 1916 in Monett, to Jake and Lillie (Woods) Carter. She was united in marriage to Norman Jackson on Jan. 28, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2001.
Mrs. Jackson was a housewife and attended the First United Methodist Church in Monett.
Ida is survived by one son: Noel, and wife, Joyce Jackson, of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters: Linda and husband, Charles Balmas, of Monett and June Kirby of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter-in-law: El Donna Jackson, of Neosho; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son: Larry Jackson and one grandson: Jeff Balmas.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday March 12, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, at First United Methodist Church of Monett with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Burial will follow at Monett IOOF Cemetery.
