Monett Times: Obituaries: Robert Cole (03/12/10)

Robert Eugene "Bob" Cole, age 56, of Springfield, formerly of Monett, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.

Bob was born on July 27, 1953 in Monett, the son of Max A. Cole and Doris Aline (McTeer) Cole. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Springfield. He was employed by Boyd Aluminum in Springfield as a Manufacturing Representative.

He married Cheryl Eherenfeldt on January 1, 1978 in San Diego, Calif. and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters: Amanda Cole, of Bolivar, and Melissa Liehr and husband, John, of Republic; one grandson: Matthew Liehr, of Republic; his parents: Max and Aline Cole, of Monett; one brother: Mark Cole and wife, Bonnie, of Monett.

Bob was preceded in death by an infant brother: Richard Cole.

Military graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 15, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 15, at the Second Baptist Church in Springfield with Dr. John Marshall officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 14.

Memorial contributions have been requested to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
