The Lady Cubs placed two basketball players on the All-Big 8 Conference team for 2010.
Junior Madison Carlin and sophomore Hunter Glouse both earned All-Big 8 second team honors.
Glouse and Carlin led Monett in scoring this past season, tallying 314 and 293 points respectively. Glouse averaged 13.1 points per game and Carlin averaged 11.2 points per game.
Glouse shot a team high 79 percent from the free-throw line, hitting 137 out of 174 attempts. Carlin was the Lady Cubs' steals leader with 71. She also had the most three-pointers, contributing 36 during the season.
The Lady Cubs, who are coached by Derrek Uhl, ended the 2009-10 season with a conference record of 3-4, which tied them for fifth in the Big 8.

First team: senior Katy Cooper, East Newton; senior Hannah Elkins, Cassville; senior Lauren McRae, Carl Junction; junior Kenzi Williams, Mt. Vernon; and senior Jacci Yust, Seneca.
Second team: senior Lindsey Bragg, East Newton; junior Madison Carlin, Monett; senior Jessica Curl, Mt. Vernon; sophomore Hunter Glouse, Monett; senior Erin Esposito, Seneca; senior Talia Pilkenton, Aurora; and junior Mackenzie Valenti, Carl Junction.
Honorable mention: senior Raeshelle Dollar, East Newton; senior Gail Edie, Cassville; and senior Marti Richmiller, Cassville.
Coach of the Year was Bob Coffey of Seneca, and Co-Players of the Year are Lauren McRae, of Carl Junction, and Kenzi Williams, of Mt. Vernon.
Mt. Vernon and Seneca shared the Big 8 Conference championship title this year with identical 6-1 records.
