Broadway Nights returns on Friday with a number of activities scheduled at participating downtown businesses in Monett.
Live entertainment is again planned at the coffee houses. Mocha Jo's will have Neva Welters playing the hammered dulcimer as the main attraction. At Denali Dreams, local voice teacher Robin Braun and her students, high school age and older, will perform songs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The general theme for the March Broadway Nights is St. Patrick's Day. As an Irish-inspired activity, Peppers and Company will hold a contest for guessing the number of pennies in a pot of gold. The winner gets a $25 gift certificate. Denali Dreams also offers Irish creme lattés.
A number of businesses, such as Wicked Lovely, will have new inventory. Several plan major sales, such as 50 percent off all Croc's at Bruner's, and 60 percent off all clothes at the Front Page. Others like Fashion Crossroads have storewide discounts.
Connie's Photography will be offering quick prints with a photo booth now available for weddings and special events. Two photos are available in five minutes or less for $5 on a choice of green or white backgrounds.
Merchants will extend an open invitation to enjoy fellowship and shopping opportunities on during an old-style Friday night gathering on Broadway. Many stores will offer door prizes.
