Engineering firm commits to new Y

Architectural Systems Inc. (ASI) has pledged contributions totaling $100,000 over the next five years toward the construction of the new Monett Area YMCA facility.

ASI, which provides engineering and fabrication services to businesses throughout the country, was founded by Charlie Locher and Scott Beckwith in 1998 at its current location near Highway 60 and Eisenhower in Monett.

"This area has done a lot for us," Beckwith said. "It's given us a great place to live, dedicated people who aren't afraid of hard work, and the support to help us grow our business. We want to do what we can to help make it even better."

Locher agrees. "We continue to enjoy the opportunity to run a manufacturing business that reaches across the country while providing jobs and benefits here at home," Locher said. "Building this facility will help to make the area even more attractive and provide more services to the people who live, work and raise families here."

More information about the YMCA Capital Campaign and the new YMCA facility, can be found at the campaign's website at www.yourmonettymca.org. Information is also available by contacting Gordon Brown, Monett YMCA Branch executive director, at 235-8213.
