Missouri Weekly Hay Summary - Week ending 02/26/2010

Friday, February 26, 2010

The north 1/3 of the state once again got pounded with snow this past week.
Some areas saw 10-12 more inches of the white stuff while the middle 1/3
received significant rains, which made creeks and rivers run bank full.
Currently most farmers just trying to survive another month knowing grass
is on the way and hoping spring is a bit more average than the last couple years
for the start of the growing season. The supply of hay remains heavy mostly
average to lower quality hay, demand moderate, and prices mostly steady.
