David Lynn Hadlock, age 54, of Springdale, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Feb. 21. He was born on July 13, 1955 in Fort Smith, Ark. to Theo and Gerti Comer Hadlock.
He graduated in 1972 from Southside High School in Fort Smith, Ark. David married Rebecca Long on July 17, 2000. He worked for 16 years as a Surveying Supervisor for McClelland Consulting Engineers. David was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Springdale, Ark.
David, an avid outdoorsman, photographer and gourmet cook, placed his faith and love in Christ. With his devotion to both Christ and family, David spent his time celebrating God's amazing creation, bringing an eye for God's natural beauty that his grandson, niece and nephew delighted in. Camping, hiking, boating and scuba diving were not only hobbies for David and his best friend and soul mate, Rebecca, they were passions that were brought to life through his photography. His celebration of life was made real on a daily basis and his life spoke to the gift that David knew he had been given, salvation through Christ.
David is survived by his wife; two sons: Buck Hadlock and wife, Jessica, and Chase Hadlock; one grandson: Aden Hadlock; two brothers: Steve Hadlock and wife, Evelyn, of Ardmore, Okla., and Mark Hadlock, of Alma, Ark.; one nephew: Dalton Hadlock; and two nieces: Sara and Amanda Hadlock.
