Missouri Weekly Hay Summary - Week ending 02/19/2010

It has reached that time of year once again were many farmers are wondering 
if spring and warm will ever arrive. Winter storm after winter storm has 
been passing through the state over the last several weeks. Feeding is 
difficult in most areas to put it mildly. Most truckers are staying plenty 
busy given the fact most deliveries are squeezed down to just a few days 
each week when road conditions are safe enough to travel and hay pens are 
frozen enough not to get stuck. The supply of hay remains heavy mostly 
average to lower quality hay, demand moderate, and prices mostly steady.
