Norma Henson, age 85, of Monett, passed away at Monett Health Care on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Norma was born on March 18, 1924, in McDowell, the daughter of the late Eunice Aaron and Flora (Baldwin) Harris. She was a retired home health care worker and an antique dealer. She was a Methodist. Norma also opened her home to many foster children throughout the years.

Survivors include one son: Nick Henson and his wife, Julie, of Aurora; five grandchildren: Annitra Henson, of Monett; Josh Henson, of Branson; Matt Henson, of Cassville; Jessica Carter, of Aurora; and Kayla Henson, of Aurora; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Ruby Sherrill, of Wetumka, Okla. and Darlene Blomgren, of the state of Idaho. Norma was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services for Norma Henson will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett with Bro. Phil Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at Buchanan Funeral Home, in Monett.

Memorial contributions are being directed to the Hospice Compassus or the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
