The Monett FFA will celebrate National FFA Week Feb. 20-27. The theme this year will be "Lead Out Loud" as members pledge to show off what makes them premier leaders in their schools and communities.
Future Farmers of America is committed to developing character and leadership skills, as well as preparing members for a lifetime of civic leadership and career success.
As part of National FFA Week, the Monett members are planning the following events:
* Sunday, Feb. 21: members will attend New Site Baptist Church with FFA chapter President Taylor Casey at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast following.
* Monday, Feb. 22: FFA T-shirt/hat day.
* Tuesday, Feb. 23: pearl snaps/boots day and ag trivia contest.
|* Wednesday, Feb. 24: camo/hunter orange/boots day.||* Thursday, Feb. 25: FFA tailgate lunch and area 11 awards banquet.|
* Friday, Feb. 26: muddiest truck day and flannel/overalls day.
Monett FFA members are the leaders of tomorrow and dedicated to community service activities such as: Adopt A Highway; Adopt A Stream; FFA Children's Barnyard; and the Monett Livestock Show. They are success-oriented students who are driven to achieve their goals.
FFA members have opportunities to attend national leadership conferences, start their own businesses and apply for awards and scholarships.
