Beverly Ann Osterloh, age 75, of the Freistatt area, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 12. She departed this life at home after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Osterloh was born on May 12, 1934, in rural Pierce City. She was the daughter of Alfred and Lydia (Quade) Bremer.
Beverly was a life-long member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and retired postmaster of the Freistatt Post Office. She served as a Braille worker and assisted her husband who is a volunteer with the meals on wheels program.
Beverly Bremer married Orville Osterloh on Aug. 23, 1953, in Freistatt, and he survives. Additional survivors include one son: Sam Osterloh and his wife, Chery; one daughter: Becky Crandall and her husband, Mike, all of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters: Bonnie Worm and Kathy Schoen; one brother: John Bremer, all of the local Monett area; six grandchildren: Annie, Kate and Allie Osterloh and Jordan, Jessica and Jacob Crandall, all of Orlando; and a host of beloved extended family and friends. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.
Beverly was known by all as a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, helper, gardener and homemaker. She always provided warmth and a loving home for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Osterloh will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Barrett R. Buchmueller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 15. Memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, the local Braille Workers Chapter, or to Hospice Compassus, of Monett. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, of Monett.
