Nettie Jansen

Mrs. Nettie (Heaton) Jansen, age 92, of Monett, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, at her home. Nettie was born on Aug. 29, 1917, in El Reno, Okla. to Harris and Grace (Edsall) Heaton.

Nettie was united in marriage to Victor Jansen in Westfield, N.Y. on Dec. 14, 1934. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2000.

Mrs. Jansen was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Monett Garden Club and attended the Monett Senior Citizens Center.

Nettie is survived by two sons: Arthur Jansen, of the state of Calif., and Victor Michael Jansen, of Monett; two daughters: Evelyn Buckshot, of Wentzville, and Patricia and husband, James Pomeroy, of Monett; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jansen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Monett IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Monett Senior Citizens Center. Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
