Both Lady Eagles teams win

Purdy's Audrey Patton scored 11 points against McAuley Catholic last night to surpass the 1,000-point career scoring mark. The 5'10" junior helped lead the Lady Eagles to a solid 72-30 victory over the Lady Warriors. Patton was perfect from the field, going five-for-five.

Purdy led 33-8 after the first quarter and 48-18 at the half on the way to a lopsided win. Addy Roller and Shelby White continue to rack up points. Roller, who hit five treys, paced the Lady Eagles with 23 points with White adding 22.

Other Purdy scorers were: Brooke Swadley, 7; Shelby Scott, 5; and Mattie White, 4.

Pierce City dominates Jasper

The Lady Eagles of Pierce City also recorded a victory last night, defeating Jasper 62-39. Pierce City, who remains undefeated in the conference, had balanced scoring throughout all four quarters, leading 32-19 at half and 45-30 after the third quarter. A dominating 17-9 fourth quarter sealed the win.

Pierce City point-getters were: Kaelyn Osborn, 16; Taylor Mettlach, 12; Abby Ashley, 9; Megan Golubski, 7; Emily Ashley, 6; Beth Parrigon, 4; Krishna Merriman, 3; and Rachel Miller and Brianna Zebert, 2 each.
