The Barry County Board for the Developmentally Disabled (BCDD) chose a new location for its next meeting and allotted grant money during its Jan. 18 board meeting.
Representatives from the ARC of the Ozarks and the Joplin Regional Center were also present at the meeting.
The ARC of the Ozarks will host the next board meeting at its day program facility, which is located at Highway 37 and Farm Road 1095 in Cassville. Last year, the BCDD board provided grant funding to help the ARC of the Ozarks expand its facilities in that location.
In new business, the BCDD board approved the following grant requests:
* ARC of the Ozarks in the amount of $30,326, which will be used for personnel expenses to provide individualized social outings and activities for developmentally disabled citizens of Countryside Care Center in Monett.

* ARC of the Ozarks in the amount of $1,969.61 to purchase a washer and dryer for the facility.
