Monett High School's wrestling team took sixth place at the Seneca Tournament where eight schools competed.
Monett finished with 131.5 points. Seneca won the tourney with 376 points. Other schools competing included: Carl Junction, second, 213.5 points; Ozark, third, 142.5; Seneca JV, fourth, 141; Neosho JV, fifth, 139; Diamond, seventh, 111.5; Nevada, eighth, 82.5; Neosho, ninth, 46; Monett JV, 10th, 15; and Diamond JV, 11th, 13.
Monett's Ethan Davis took first place in the 140-pound division, winning a 13-0 decision over Dillian Webb, of Seneca. Chris Renteria, of the Cubs, took second place in the 125-pound division, losing in a pin in the final round to Colbey Skaggs, of Seneca.
Other individual results for Monett were: Levi Neely, at 103 pounds, fifth place; Juan Renteria, at 130 pounds, third place; Carter Huffmaster, at 135 pounds, fourth place; Clayton Patton, at 135 pounds, fifth place; Marcus Enloe, at 145 pounds, sixth place; and Matt Schiffner, at 171 pounds, third place.
Monett grapplers will compete next in a meet at Bolivar on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
