|Bernard Joseph Campbell, age 84, of Monett, died on Friday, Jan. 27, at Cox Health Center South in Springfield.||He was born on Oct. 14, 1925 in Pierce City to Michael and Katherine (Hanlon) Campbell. Bernard was united in marriage to Lenora Gripka on April 21, 1954 in Aurora.|
Bernard is survived by his wife, Lenora; one son: Ronald Campbell, of Monett; three daughters: Barbara Brightwell, of Carthage; Carolyn Beard, of Ozark; and Marilyn Ceselski, of Monett; two brothers: Robert Campbell, of Pierce City; Terry Campbell, of Monett; two sisters: Ann Bowman, of Neosho; and Carolyn Witt, of Pierce City; 13 grandchildren and special friend, Marsha Wiles.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Michael Campbell; four brothers: Tom Campbell, Ed Campbell, James Campbell and William Campbell; three sisters: Teresa Wines, Freda Koenig and Katherine Eck.
Bernard was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona, Pierce City American Legion, Knights of Columbus Council in Verona, Southwest Mo. Sheep Association and ASC Agricultural Board.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett with Rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona.
