Forfeits were again costly for the Monett Cubs wrestling team in a dual meet as the host Cubs lost to Seneca 70-9 last night.
Monett, 0-4 in duals this year, lost five matches by forfeit.
Ethan Davis, of the Cubs, at 145 pounds, logged the only pin for the home team. He pinned David Diaz at the 58-second mark.
Levi Neely, at 103 pounds, had Monett's other win. He won a 7-3 decision over Cole Lankford.
Losing by pin were Nicky Roberts, at 112 pounds, to Blake Byrne at the 3:59 mark; Clayton Patton, at 130 pounds, to Nathan Fortner at the 1:40 mark; Carter Huffmaster, at 140 pounds, to Dillion Webb at the 4:45 mark; Matt Schiffner, at 171 pounds, to Dalton Cummings at the 3:53 mark; Ty Irwin at 189 pounds, to Jacoby Heimer at the 3:57 mark; and Christian Romero, at 215 pounds, at the 29-second mark.
Juan Renteria, at 135 pounds, lost a 13-4 decision to Josh Mullin.
In exhibition action, Devon Overall, at 135 pounds, Joey Albrecht, at 140 pounds, Cade Liles, at 145 pounds, and Kurran Blamey, at 152 pounds, were defeated.
Monett travels to Ozark on Tuesday for a triangular against Ozark and Springfield Central.
