Charles Thomas Ash, age 75, of Monett, died on Jan. 16, at his home.

Charles was born on Sept. 27, 1934 in Monett, to William Loyd and Chloe (Long) Ash. He was united in marriage to Margaret Henderson on June 27, 1954 in Monett.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret; three sons: Donnie Ash, of Monett, Gene Ash, of Monett, and Kevin Ash, of Richmond; one daughter: Linda Kelso, of Monett; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Charles was preceded in death by two brothers: Junior and Glenn Ash; two sisters: Dorothy Fritz and Margaret O'Dwyer; and one brother-in-law: Raymond O'Dwyer.

Charles retired from Jumping-Jacks Shoes after 34 years and also worked as a real estate broker for Fritz Real Estate and installed carpet and linoleum for many years..

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, in Monett. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home with Rev. Lowell Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, of Monett.
